Transgender Woman Protected by Sex Discrimination Laws

Another U.S. Court of Appeals recently decided that the prohibition of discriminating "on the basis of sex" protects employees who are fired on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. In addition, the Court found that a supervisor's religious objections weren't sufficient reason for him to violate the anti-discrimination laws by firing his transgender employee.
